Triin's Year in Colorado!

I was one of those people dreaming about warm and sunny California and Florida... but things went differently and now I have been living in Broomfield, Colorado for almost 6 months, and I don't regret a thing! Colorado is amazing - hot summers, beautiful nature, nice people and of course the Rocky Mountains. The first time I saw the mountains I couldn't speak - I was shocked at how beautiful they are...and how huge! 

The weather in Colorado is a bit crazy, but I love it. One day it could be warm, the next it could be 20 degrees outside. It is true, what they say - if you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minutes! Where else can you ride your bike outside in your shorts and make snowangels all in the same week! Its just amazing - every day can be different!

The most important thing is that it's so down-to-earth. People are the nicest I've ever met. Everybody cares about other people and they truly value their families and friends. I like the way people love spending time outside and how much they think of their kids, there are parks and playgrounds on every corner. It is absolutely great how people enjoy life, how working is not the most important thing in the world and how sports and activities are loved.

Living in Colorado makes me feel like I am at home. I'm never left out or anonymous like in big cities. Just like they say - it is the simple things that matter in life. And that is my story, a story about my second home. Its going to be very hard to leave, but I'll take a lot of great memories with me and will come back to visit Colorado sometime!
